COVID and Dog Ownership
One of the interesting trends over the COVID era has been the surge in dog ownership. Of course I don't have any scientific evidence back up my claim, but the anecdotal evicence is quite clear. Cute puppies abound all around us and many people have decided to get their first four-legged furry friend. Owning a dog will change your life for good and it is no different from getting a baby. The only difference is that dogs should never be anthropomorphized, i.e. we must not treat them as if they were humans.
I've been a dog owner all my adult life. My late companion, Helmi passed away last summer at the age of 13. After six months of mourning we decided that it is time to get a new canine companion. Hovarian Zarin a.k.a. Eve entered our life in the late spring and training and bringing her up to be a great canine companion got me thinking. What if I were to share my experiences with new dog owners to help them make more informed choices on how their dogs eat, exercise, socialize or go about their daily lives?
Out of that need, I just launched a new website called inform.social for Pet Owners. If you are a first-time dog owner or even a more seasoned "veteran", my plan is to help you by sharing what I've learned and found useful in nutrition, exercise or dog care in general. N.B. it is an affiliate website, where I've partnered up with Zooplus and Amazon. I will not, however, endorse something that I've read about online, rather than all the tips stem out of practical experience. Please stop by and have a look around.
